Anna Barn
A wind storm tore off this barn's roof, and we were contracted to dismantle it. From the road, it looked disheveled, but inside the hand-hewn frame was standing strong. We were fortunate to find clients who wanted to save this piece of history to turn it into a family gathering place. Spring to summer--a quick recovery for a beautiful barn!
Cedarville Barn
After a tornado destroyed a landmark barn in Cedarville, Ohio, its owners entrusted The Barn & Cabin Friend with building a similar structure on the original foundation. We found a slightly larger barn about 40 miles away, resized it, and rebuilt it to meet the owners' (and their horses') specifications. The project included concrete work, roofing, siding, stalls, and a new cupola.
Pewee valley Event barn
The owners of 314 Exchange, an event facility near Louisville, Kentucky, were looking for a stylish way to add open-air gathering and community space. On connecting with us, creative sparks flew and an event barn was quickly nestled in next to their charming brick event center. This barn was imported from Bethel, Ohio, and was hand-raised due to the closeness of neighboring buildings.
1805 Log Cabin
The Hiatt Family settled near Leesburg, Ohio, and, according to tree-ring analysis, built this cabin from logs harvested in 1805. The cabin was still serving the family as a storage space until 2008, when a mutual friend informed Raymond that it was for sale. The cabin was relocated to our property a few miles away, and over the next few years was reborn as our home. It makes use of many reclaimed materials, including its original wide-plank wood floors.
